PayRouter - Gift Card

Gift Card

Leverage your investment in PayRouter with Integral’s Gift Card Application.

Integral’s new Gift Card Application is a cost effective solution for retailers who have implemented Integral’s PayRouter EFT application. The Gift Card module provides an ideal solution to eliminate the cumbersome administration associated with legacy paper based gift voucher systems. And because it uses your existing PayRouter Server, you maintain full control over the application. This has several benefits:-

  • No “Per Transaction” charges

Why would you want to give away profit margin when you can manage your own Gift Card solution internally with PayRouter. Many Gift Card Solutions are based on external outsourced services which are charged as a percentage of the transaction, which prove to very expensive. With the PayRouter Gift Card solution your costs are fixed.

  • Keep Your Sensitive Sales Figures Confidential

Unlike outsourced solutions where you have no control over who sees your sales figures, by running your own Gift Card solution with PayRouter you keep sensitive sales revenue information confidential within your own organization.

How It Works:

Magnetic Stripe Card

Integral will provide you with a specification for a magnetic stripe plastic card which you will source and have printed with your own corporate branding. Each card will have a unique card no.

  • Load Value

VeriFone Vx 570 TerminalWhen a customer wishes to purchase a “Gift Card” a new card is taken from the pack and swiped through the magnetic swipe reader (MSR) either on the Integrated EPOS Till or on a stand alone Omni 3750 Terminal. The card details and the amount tendered are sent to the central PayRouter server and the card details and balance are automatically set up on PayRouter.

  • Sale Transaction

At some later point in time, the customer proceeds to make a purchase with the gift card. The card is “swiped” and the POS or EPOS terminal sends an “Authorisation Request” to PayRouter (in the same way as a credit card). PayRouter checks the account details for this card to ensure that there are sufficient funds and send back either an Approval or a Decline response to the POS. If the sale proceeds, the value of the transaction is decremented and the new balance for the card is updated on PayRouter.

  • Balance Inquiry

At any point in time, a card may be “swiped” to make a balance inquiry to find out what balance is left.

  • Security

It is important to note, that the value or funds are not stored on the card, but on the PayRouter. This provides considerable advantages to the retailer in terms of customer service, particularly for large corporate clients.
